THE CREATIVE PROCESS

The creative process is a combination of various experiences(images, memories and dreams) that come to enrich the mosaic, which is personal in inspiration and impersonal in its implementation. The experiences lead to the materialization of a work of art. It’s very important to use one’s own language and it’s part of daily life to search for ways of inventing new techniques to come close to creation and excellence of one’s own style.

The investigation of and experimenting with new materials open up a range of possibilities to express yourself.
In my case it’s the long walks to the ruins, the gathering of ceramic fragments, coloured clay, the burnt red of Cupisnique pottery with its texture and engravings, the rocky formations, the bones and fossils, the trident, water, beeswax and acrylics. It’s part of my personal quest to achieve an aesthetic language that fulfills my expectations.
